My Philosophy

As a girl, I wanted to be free.  As a young woman, I wanted to be a famous designer.  As a woman, I am beginning to care for my life-partner, family and professional responsibilities in a healthier more balanced manner.  Necesse Est is born out of my life story and is beginning to take root in New England this summer just in time for our country's 250th Birthday!!!  We will be adding information weekly--Check back with us soon ❤️

Life-Partner

As a young girl, I was determined to never marry--I longed to be free.  That goal passed me by, married twice by the age of 35, engaged several times in between (story for another day) ---I am now at 47 silvering naturally.  It is beginning to become more obvious-- exactly how wide my independent streak is.  Chris and I are twelve years in and just starting to learn how to do life side-by-side.  We laugh at ourselves often and are learning to love again.  

Designer

My hopes and dreams were shattered as I became a success story at a young age.  I often lacked the emotional maturity necessary to sustain my abilities.   Eventually my career, financial standing and resulting depression got the better of me.  Now as I return to the profession, I adore the story is writing itself one day at a time.  

Mother

As a teenager often cautioned not to count on having children--due to irregular cycles as an avid runner.  I listened and never thought twice about becoming a mother--two miraculous babies and two extra special stepdaughters' --We are learning from each how to be part of a loving family.

Transformation Comes From Within--Relief After Decades of Struggle.

After several decades of struggle, Laura was accepted to an in-patient program in New England earlier this year.  Weekly cold dipping, mindfulness practice, yoga, and other modern medical treatments began the healing and recovery process.  During the forty-five-day treatment program the source of the designer's depression was diagnosed as high-functioning autism.  The 'creative genius' or giftedness is accompanied in her case by heightened sensitivities, extreme attention to detail and overarching sense of logic amidst other idiosyncrasies'.    


Laura is becoming a part of the fabric of New England this summer grounded in her faith & family.
